Makronissos Beach in Ayia Napa
Makronissos Beach literally means long island. As you can imagine, the beach was named after its length! The bay is known for its soft-golden sands and crystalline blue waters, attracting locals and tourists alike.
The beach was formed by a group of smaller coves and bays which extend in diverse directions. Part of the bay is located within the island’s Natura 2000, an unspoilt area that captivates all its visitors.
Makronissos Bay is one of the most visited bays across the island. Besides the stunning emerald waters and golden bay, visitors enjoy many activities such as a variety of water sports. The bay is also a popular summer venue for beach parties.
